| Drew Jarrod is an American Husband, Stay-At-Home Dad, Writer, Musician, Philosopher, Redemptive Prophet and God-Follower. "I'm finding that knowing God and making Him known is what I want to be about." Drew has been a writer for the past 30 years and a singer/songwriter for most of that time. His writing, musical and vocal styles are a meeting of Rich Mullins, Wes King and Steven Curtis Chapman. Drew joins the story writing of an author with the musical quality of a poet. His relaxing tones give his music a calming atmosphere. "I won't make you stand up or clap to my music. (I only have the three fast songs.) Just sit down, relax and listen. Go to sleep if you want to." Drew has performed at small house parties and for Regional and National events drawing 30 to 30,000 people. Drew volunteered regularly at Michael W. Smith's Rocketown in Shoreview, Minnesota in the Winter of 1995, performing live music in the "Coffee House," as well as listening and relating to the teens and parents who attended. Drew also performed at the LCMS "Called To Be" Youth Gathering in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998. Before that, he assisted numerous churches in their worship touring nationally throughout the United States in 1994 and 1995. Drew also has a background in Television, Radio, Live Theater and the Movies. Both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. In the Fall of 1995, Drew attended Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota for six months to broaden his knowledge of writing and music because he felt that this was his calling. (They turned out to be two of his glories.) However, after spending the same amount on tuition he would have spent recording or even setting up his own studio, Drew decided to quit college and record his first solo music album, "At Square One," which he released in September 1997. One month later, Drew met his wife, Erin, at one of his "At Square One Tour" CD Premiere concerts for her church's Harvest Supper Potluck. (She dished him up sweet corn in the serving line - Drew's favorite food.) After he felt the call of God to begin attending church there - to learn and grow in his Faith (also the people were so nice there) - Drew decided to relocate 100 miles to the city where Erin's church was. Two months later, in December 1997, Drew moved into his new apartment and met his wife for the second time. They acted together in a live, winter, nativity pageant. Since he was new in town, Drew asked Erin if she would show him around. She agreed. After writing three love songs about this new season in his life, Drew began to focus more on their relationship and less on music. Drew stays busy being a Stay-At-Home Dad to three boys, releasing song singles when he can. In 2009 and 2010, Drew again found some time and energy to record. The latest MP3's are "Innocent Eyes" and "Here With Me." Drew is also currently writing a book. |
